Historia

This drawing, along with the set of preparatory drawing for the rest of the prints in this series, formed part of the Carderera Collection and was subsequently acquired by the Prado Museum where it is currently housed.
Análisis artístico
The preparatory drawing for print no. 52, They do not arrive in time (No llegan á tiempo) is much clearer and lighter than the final print. Despite the fact that the wall in the background extends up to the top of the paper in the drawing, it has a much lighter aspect than the print, in which the wall is lower yet darker and more substantial.
