This drawing, along with the set of preparatory drawing for the rest of the prints in this series, formed part of the Carderera Collection and was subsequently acquired by the Prado Museum where it is currently housed.
This preparatory drawing for print no. 45, And this too (Y esto también) is darker and more intense than the final piece. Goya does not vary the number of figures in the composition or their features: the only variation is in the lighting in the final print, in which he creates two light sources not present in this drawing.
According to Gassier, the paper on which this drawing was executed is in bad condition, particularly its lower portion.
