Angels of the north-western vault

SeeMiracle of Saint Anthony of Padua.

In the north-western vault, located in the arm of the transept on the gospel side of the chapel, there are four naked putti (child angels), holding some curtains up with their hands. They are distributed two in the centre and one on each side of the arch. In the outer or lower sections there are two female winged figures dressed in sumptuous clothing. The one on the left gazes at the sky while the figure on the right brings her hands together in prayer.
