Análisis artístico

For a complete history of the bandit and an artistic analysis of the whole series, see El Maragato Threatens Friar Pedro de Zaldivia with his Gun.

The narrative continues with the moment when Friar Pedro, having pushed away the gun, wrests it from El Maragato's grasp. They tussle for a few moments, during which the enraged bandit, stuttering, threatens to kill the monk. On realizing that the friar is stronger than him, he decides to go and look for the other two guns which had been hanging from the saddle, and runs towards the horse whose head we can see on the other side of the door.
