This painting became known when it was discovered that it was very similar to the painting of the Virgin and Child when it was exhibited in the exhibition Goya and Zaragoza (1746-1775) his Aragonese roots, 2015. It was also attributed as Goya's painting and added into that exhibition.
It is a version of the Virgin and Child to which Goya added the figure of St. Joseph behind Mary. The stylistic similarities are clear.
