See The Old Spinner
One proof is known to be in the National Library in Madrid and another in the New York Public Library, both stamped at the Lithographic Establishment of the Hydrographic Depot in Madrid.
The title of the lithograph was taken from the inscription on the latter proof.
Análisis artístico
Simple composition of a struggle between a man and a woman sitting on the ground. The woman, with her back turned and her face hidden, seems to be trying to escape from the abuse of a man with a sullen expression.
In the process of reporting the preparatory drawing, some mistakes were made, as the delicacy and finesse of the drawing is lost in the print, so that some proofs, such as the one in the National Library in Madrid, had to be retouched in pencil.
