See The mourning and The famous American.
The fourth of the prints in the series shows a curious arrangement of the bullring that was very much in vogue in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, in which the arena was divided into two parts by a barrier to allow two different bullfights to take place. In the one on the right, a bullfighter is preparing to kill a bull with a short rapier, using his hat placed on the ground as a decoy to attract the bull's attention. In the one on the left, a banderillero is preparing to enter the bull with his "rehiletes" held high. On both sides of the barrier, arranged diagonally, and on both sides of the barrier, there is a large crowd.
