Of the drawings that Valentín Carderera owned from Album A, three are known indirectly through copies, perhaps made by Carderera himself, which have been catalogued as "copy a", "copy b" and "copy c". Copy a" (194 x 127 mm) became part of the collections of the Lazaro Galdiano Museum, where it is kept. It includes the inscription: Goya San Lúcar (in India ink; below).

This drawing may correspond to the one described in this way by Carderera, referring to the Duchess of Alba: Here she is writing, with her shoulders covered by her long hair. The model is shown writing before a table with a writing desk, with the Duchess's characteristic long, dark hair.
