See The Old Spinner.
There are proofs, printed at the Establecimiento Lithographic Establishment of the Hydrographic Deposit in Madrid, in various collections: National Library of Madrid, from the Carderera collection and signed in pencil Goya fecit; Library of the Fundación Lázaro Galdiano; Cabinet of Prints, Berlin, from the Félix Boix collection; The Hispanic Society of America, New York; Art Institute of Chicago; and Rossenwald Collection, Jenkintown. The Marquis de la Torrecilla owned one in Madrid, the whereabouts of which are unknown.
Composition reminiscent of print 25 of Bullfighting. The work shows the moment when dogs are thrown at a bull to excite his aggression. The harassed bull tries to gore them and one of them has been hooked and thrown into the air. On the ground in front of the bull is a pike and a picador's hat. On the right, in the background, two men, one of them wearing a wide hat and wrapped in his cape, and the other (the picador who has been knocked down?), watch the spectacle. There is an absence of spatial reference, possibly due to technical problems caused by a lack of mastery of the technique.
Drawing of great purity and simplicity of lines executed on the stone with the pencil, used very lightly and reinforced with the pen. Use of the scraper on the two men to produce atmospheric perspective.
