This work belonged to the Duke of Tamames, Madrid.

Análisis artístico

If the work in question is an autograph work by Goya, it could be the "Portrait of King Ferdinand, bust" that figures in the inventory that Brugada made in 1828 of the paintings in the Quinta del Sordo, after the artist's death. The face bears a certain resemblance to the other portraits of the king made in 1814.
